Every year I put an intention out to the universe. Some years its words like steady, other years it is growth, this last year (2017), it was change, and boy did that kick me in the behind. This year, along with my intention word — growth — I’m aiming for a few a genealogy-related goals.
Each one of these goals was picked to improve a certain part of my genealogy passion and career. Comment below on your genealogy-related goals for the new year!
- Learn a new language through Duolingo, either French, German or Spanish in order to read records for my clients
- Complete at least one Family Story Book
- Start my Gin & Genealogy Podcast
- Attend Rootstech
- Read Blaine Bettinger’s book The Family Tree Guide to DNA Testing and Genetic Genealogy in full
Find The Hipster Historian on Facebook & on Instagram. #onfleekfamilyhistory
Those are good and ambitious goals. I have to finish that book too. When I read it I am thinking “okay, yeah, I get that, okay, yeah that makes sense” and then there is a point where I get confused. I might have to read it a few times.
I think it is a great book with lots of information and I am in the same book. I know there are a few Facebook groups you can join to ask questions. 😀
